- The Ilda Clippers Monday night winter swim program has started. The practices are held on Monday evenings from 7:30 to 8:30 PM at the Jewish Community Center. There are still a couple of slots available so if you are interested, please contact Janice Viola (ildaclippers@yahoo.com) for more information. Former Clipper Head Coach and current Clipper mother Angie Niezgoda will be the lead coach this winter with assistance from Clipper coaches/swimmers Nathan Albertson and Libby Bissen.
There should be 26 sessions during the winter (no sessions on days when Fairfax County schools are off). These are the scheduled dates:
October 3, 17 & 24
November 14, 21 & 28
December 5, 12 & 19
January 2, 9, 23 & 30
February 6, 13 & 27
March 5, 12, 19 & 26
April 16, 23 & 30

Ilda Clippers Practice Times - 2011
Once Fairfax County Schools are out for summer break, which is June 22nd this year, practices are in the morning. On Monday to Friday, practice times are:
8:00 to 09:00 a.m. -- 11 And Older
9:00 to 10:00 a.m. -- 10 And Under
10:00 to 10:30 a.m. -- Clips Team
From May 31 until school is out (Mon-Fri), practice times are:
3:30 to 4:30 p.m. -- 13 and older
4:30 to 5:00 p.m. -- 8 and unders
5:00 to 6:00 p.m. -- 9 to 12 year olds
Please note that the Clips, Ilda's developmental team (mostly 5 and 6 year olds) do not start practice until morning practices begin which is June 22nd for the 2011 summer.
Ilda Clippers 2011 Schedule/Results
Below are the dates and times for the Summer 2011 Ilda swim meets. Times listed below are the start time of the event. The swimmers need to be there prior to the start time for warmups. For B Meets at Ilda, we warm up at 5 PM. For away B Meets, we warm up at 5:30 PM. Clicking on the opponents name will take you to their website, if they have one. Clicking on the date of the meet will display all the relevant meet information including which Ilda parents are scheduled to volunteer, directions and any scheduled swimmer absences.

Clipper Coaches
Ryley Trahan is the Clipper Head Coach for the 2011 season. Ryley is a 2009 graduate of Chantilly High School who is currently attending Mary Washington. He was the head coach of the Four Season Swim Squad in Herndon last summer and he comes highly recommended by Scott Bryant (a Potomac Marlins coach that several senior Ilda kids have swum for in the past).
Three experienced Clipper swimmers will be serving as the assistant coaches for the 2011 season. They are Blake Chamlee, Libby Bissen, and Nathan Albertson.
