FiOS and Support Ilda
Many of you may have read about the availability of FiOS - Verizon's
cutting-edge fiber optic technology for internet access, voice services,
and digital TV - and seen Verizon trucks throughout the neighborhood.
FiOS is a suite of products/services provided directly to your home via
dedicated fiber. FiOS offers Internet (5, 15, & 30 Mbps), Video, &
Voice. The FiOS Bundle Package (currently $99) includes Internet 5 Mbps
(downstream) 2 Mbps (upstream), FiOS TV Premier, and Freedom Essentials.
There are several different types of set tops offered including High
Definition (HD), HD-DVRs, and Home Media DVR w/HD many of which are
offered in promotional packages. There are additional premium channel
packages available for a competitive monthly fee. Some products have
one-time activation fees and taxes are extra.
Ilda Community Recreation Association is pleased to participate in the
Verizon VeloCITY Program that was established by Verizon to
promote new Verizon services in the community and benefit non-profit
organizations. Verizon will make the following donations to Ilda for
each customer referral who signs up for any of the following services:
- $25 donation for Broadband services - either FiOS Data or DSL 3.0 Mbps
- $15 for Video services - either FiOS TV or DirecTV
- $10 for Long Distance and Freedom packages
So if you were planning to order Verizon FiOS or the other services
offering VeloCITY donations, there is no better time than NOW to
sign up and support Ilda at the same time.
To qualify for the VeloCITY donation, customers must dial the special
VeloCITY toll free number (1-888-695-5299) when placing their
order and provide the tracking code 1090 for Ilda Community
Recreation Association. (Orders placed through the regular business
office, online, or through any other phone number or media will not be
tracked by the VeloCITY program and no donation will be made.)
